Objective:
The Music Teachers Technology Certification Course helps music
teachers to integrate music technology into their teaching of
music, effectively, enhancing the interest of music students or
even retain existing ones. Skills in the use of music notation
software, music production software, and "MUST KNOW" electronic
musical instruments features, and instructional software, MIDI,
digital and multimedia is covered in this 5 modules.
The whole course spans 75 hours, where 50 hours are lectures
and 25 hours of class observations and teaching assistant assignments
will be carried out. Participants will be assessed in project
work, report and performance shown during teaching assignments On
successful completion in all modules, participants will be awarded
a Level 1A Certification by MusicTEC.
Target Students/Admission
Requirements:
- Private music teachers
- School leavers interested in teaching music professionally
(minimum ‘N’ or ‘O’ Levels)
- Minimum age of 17 years
Duration:
75 hours (50 hours lecture/tutorial + 25 hours observation/teaching),
3 hours per session (approx. 4 months)
